In Search of a Better World

My practice revolves around the themes of communication and utopian futures. In my works, I explore the process of oscillation between irony and sincerity in the contemporary world, as well as mimicry as a survival strategy in society—raising the question of the threshold at which one loses their own sense of self.

I work with video installations, video art, and performance, viewing performance simultaneously as context and dialogue: with time, space, and other people.

Everything that used to be a monologue—books, films, paintings—has now, largely due to the emergence of social media (likes, comments, reactions), become a dialogue. Dialogue emerges even where it never existed before: we converse with objects such as smart speakers or car navigation systems, and their speech modules are even called "intelligence"—artificial, just in case.

As communication patterns shift from monologic to dialogic, art transforms as well. Dialogicity in art becomes possible through participatory or performative elements, which is why I often engage the audience in the issues explored in my works.
